These are remote positions only.
Your Responsibilities
- Drafting and prosecuting U.S. and PCT patent applications
- Drafting opinions on patentability, freedom to operate, validity, and others
- Developing and managing client intellectual property portfolios
- Advising clients on intellectual property matters
- Any other duties that may be assigned to you
Your Professional Qualifications (required)
- Excellent experience in drafting U.S. and PCT patent applications gained in an Am Law 100 or 200 law firm or in a corporate in-house legal department
- At least eight years of experience practicing before the USPTO as a U.S. patent agent or U.S. patent attorney
- Experience with international patent prosecution before foreign patent offices by working efficiently with foreign IP law firms
- A strong technical background and reputation in your field, including a successful degree in one of the following technical fields:
- Electronics
- Software
- Life sciences (biochemistry, molecular biology, organic chemistry or immunology)
Preferred Professional Qualifications (but not required)
- Experience working as a U.S. trademark attorney
- Experience in licensing
- Experience with U.S. litigation
- Experience working with start-up companies
- Experience working in a corporate environment
- Fluency in German

Requirements
- These are telecommuting positions
- You prefer to work from home and have the technical ability to maintain contact remotely
- You have a proven ability to work independently, collaborate with colleagues, and support a team collegially and efficiently
- You are able to travel to clients and conferences in the continental U.S. and possibly in Germany
- You are tech-savvy and able to learn new programs
