In accordance with the Federal Lawyers’ Act (BRAO) §§ 51, 51a, RUPPERT U.S. IP GmbH maintains a professional liability insurance with a minimum insurance sum of 2,500,000.00 Euros.  Among other things, insurance cover is provided in the amount of the agreed sum insured for liability claims resulting

  • from claims of the policyholder before non-European courts.

Dispute Resolution Proceedings in Front of a Consumer Arbitration Board

In the event of disputes between patent attorneys and attorneys-at-law of RUPPERT U.S. IP GmbH and the client(s), there is the possibility of out-of-court dispute resolution upon request at (i) the regional bar association in Karlsruhe (pursuant to § 73 para. 2 no. 3 in conjunction with § 73 para. 5 BRAO), (ii) the arbitration board of the bar (§191f BRAO) at the Federal Bar Association (Littenstraße 9, 10179 Berlin; to be found on the Internet via the homepage of the Federal Bar Association (https://www.brak.de/service/schlichtungsstelle-der-rechtsanwaltschaft/), or (iii) at Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services, Inc. Notice pursuant to Section 36 of the German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act (VSBG): RUPPERT U.S. IP is not willing or obligated to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
